Last Chance U: Basketball, released on March 10, 2021, is a Netflix original sports documentary that follows the path of John Mosley, head coach of the East Los Angeles College (ELAC) men’s basketball team, who tries his best to guide and support his local college-level players and take them to the state level.

John Mosley is a coach who has been guiding and teaching his young basketball talents to win their respective matches for years now. The Netflix documentary series, Last Chance U: Basketball, focused mainly on running the show as head of guidance at East Mississippi Community College (E.M.C.C.). KJ Allen, a star player from Monterey Park and E.M.C.C., made an appearance with other up-and-coming athletes like Joe Hampton, Deshaun Higher, Malik Muhammad, LJ Zeigler, Chauncey Collins, Malik Henry, and Kiante Anderson. The latter plays for Tennessee Volunteers and many others.

Nonetheless, on November 1, 2020, Allen, through his Instagram handle, announced that he committed to the University of Southern California (USC).
The news of Allen’s selection was announced a few days later, and he will play for the U.S.C. men’s basketball team from 2021-22.
KJ Allen is a young star. He was born on August 17th, 2000, to parents Damien and Tajuana. They are both from Monterey Park, California, but they live elsewhere now. At the same time, they work at different colleges nearby or near the town hall, where his mom works as an assistant varsity coach for football teams (story told via email).
